Prof. Li shared strategies to integrate algorithm improvement with innovation practices in tourism

The “APAEM Seminar Series: The Link between Algorithm Improvement and Tourism Research,” hosted by the Asia-Pacific Academy of Economics and Management (APAEM) and co-hosted by the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) of the University of Macau (UM), was successfully held on February 10, 2025. The seminar featured Prof. Nao Li, Professor of the Business School and Director of the International Communication Center at the Beijing Technology and Business University, as the guest speaker, with Prof. Rob Law, Deputy Director of APAEM, as the moderator.

Prof. Nao Li specializes in tourism big data analysis and mining, the application of cutting-edge information technology in tourism, and agent-based crowd simulation. During the seminar, Prof. Li delved into the importance of algorithm improvement in tourism research and shared the latest advancements in algorithm improvement within the tourism industry. She further elaborated on how to conduct tourism research based on algorithm improvement and proposed strategies to integrate algorithm improvement with innovation practices in tourism. Prof. Li emphasized that algorithm improvement research oriented towards tourism issues will drive innovation in tourism research in terms of theory, methods, and technology.
