On November 13, 2025, Prof. Rob Law, APAEM Deputy Director at the University of Macau, was invited to deliver an online keynote speech at The TMS ALGARVE 2025 conference. His presentation focused on the themes of technological innovation and sustainability in tourism and hospitality management.
Titled “Tourism and Hospitality Technology: Applications, Challenges, and Future Directions,” Prof. Law’s presentation provided a systematic examination of the current implementation of technology in the tourism and hospitality from both practical and theoretical perspectives. He offered an in-depth analysis of technology’s pivotal role in the sector’s ongoing evolution. Beyond outlining the key challenges facing current technological applications, Prof. Law shared forward-looking perspectives on emerging trends. He also introduced innovative research methodologies, offering valuable insights for both academic and professional audiences. The session engaged numerous faculty and students, fostering vibrant interaction and a dynamic exchange of ideas.
Hosted by the University of Algarve in Portugal, The TMS ALGARVE 2025 Conference was organized under the theme “Technology and Sustainability Challenges in Tourism, Hospitality and Management.” Now in its eighth iteration, the conference has established itself as a prominent international academic forum in the field, continually promoting dialogue and collaboration among scholars worldwide on these critical topics.
