“APAEM Seminar Series: Building and Executing a Winning Digital Marketing Strategy in the Hospitality Industry” was successfully held

On September 26^th, 2024, “APAEM Seminar Series: Building and Executing a Winning Digital Marketing Strategy in the Hospitality Industry” was successfully held at the University of Macau (UM). This event was hosted by the Asia-Pacific Academy of Economics and Management (APAEM) and co-hosted by the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) of UM. Dr. Xin Huang, founder of Guangzhou Wintour Information Technology, served as the guest speaker, while Prof. Rob Law, Deputy Director of APAEM, was the moderator of the seminar.

During the seminar, Dr. Huang provided an in-depth exploration of the development of digital marketing in the hospitality industry, outlining several key stages of digital marketing evolution. These stages included moving offline information online, adopting search engines and keyword marketing, embracing social media and multi-channel marketing, leveraging mobile internet for omni-channel marketing, integrating ecosystems and driving collaborative innovation, and implementing large language models and intelligent interaction.

Dr. Huang detailed the three main stages of digital marketing strategy: traffic and potential customer acquisition, sales conversion, and in-depth customer operations, analyzing the digital marketing tools and technologies required at each stage. His presentation not only offered theoretical insights but also incorporated practical case studies, enabling participants to better understand how to apply these strategies in practice. Additionally, Dr. Huang shared valuable experiences in talent cultivation to drive the development of digital marketing in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
