According to the recently published JCR journal ranking 2024 by Clarivate Analytics, Economic Modelling, co-edited by Prof. Angus Chu, was once again ranked in the top 25% (SSCI Q1) of all international journals in economics, with a ranking of 72/597. The impact of this journal keeps growing, with the latest impact factor of 4.2 and the impact factor without self-citation of 3.7. Besides, Google Scholar published the journal ranking on impact recently. Economic Modelling was ranked in the top 20 economics journals. According to the statistics, the h5-index and h5-median of Economic Modelling are 76 and 117, respectively, indicating that 76 articles published in 2019-2023 have been cited at least 76 times each. Among these 76 articles, the median number of citations is 117.

Economic Modelling, a scholarly journal aiming to provide an international review of the state-of-the-art in economic modelling, came into being in 1984. The journal mainly publishes policy-relevant theoretical and applied papers in macroeconomics and other fields of economics, such as development economics, energy economics, environmental economics, financial economics, health economics, industrial economics, international economics, labor economics, microeconomics, public economics, and urban economics. The journal is currently co-edited by Prof. Angus CHU and Prof. Sushanta MALLICK from Queen Mary University of London.
