Prof. Fangyuan Chen

On July 9, Prof. Fangyuan Chen, Associate Professor in Marketing of the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) of UM and member of the APAEM Smart Tourism Team, attended the Asia-Pacific Association for Consumer Research (AP-ACR) 2024 Conference in Bali, Indonesia. Prof. Chen delivered a speech entitled “Reassessing the Impact of Gain-Framed and Loss-Framed Messages for Disease Detection: The Moderating Role of Age,” which explored the joint effect of age and message framing on disease detection.

With the theme “New Horizons: Trends, Challenges, and Opportunities,” AP-ACR 2024 aims to bring together industry experts and academics from around the world. The conference will provide a platform for sharing ideas, discussing cutting-edge research, and exploring the latest methodological and theoretical trends in consumer research. It was an incredible event and an excellent opportunity for researchers to exchange ideas and gain new insights into the ever-evolving field of consumer behavior.
