
Prof. Rob Law and Prof. Xin Li
On November 7, Prof. Xin Li, Associate Professor from the School of Economics and Management at the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), visited the Asia-Pacific Academy of Economics and Management (APAEM) at the University of Macau (UM). She was warmly welcomed by Prof. Rob Law, APAEM Deputy Director, had in-depth discussions on cutting-edge topics including artificial intelligence (AI) and smart tourism forecasting.
Prof. Li’s research focuses on big data analysis, data mining, econometrics, artificial intelligence, and tourism forecasting. She has previously led a youth project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and taken part in several national and ministerial-level research projects.
The meeting focused on emerging trends in AI technology and smart tourism forecasting. Both parties also shared valuable perspectives regarding the practical implementation of big data mining technology within tourism management. The dynamic and engaging discussion facilitated a productive exchange of ideas, enhancing mutual understanding in these research domains and establishing a strong foundation for future partnership. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to promoting academic research and real-world applications, expressing strong interest in deepening collaboration through joint research projects and technological innovation.
