Introduction of SICC
Meeting with SKL-IOTSC
On 23 May, the smart tourism team of APAEM visited the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City and the Center for Cognitive and Brain Sciences at University of Macau. The purpose of this visit is to understand the most advanced technologies used in research and their current research projects in order to seek for opportunities for further collaborations.
The visit started with the introduction of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine that the Center for Cognitive and Brain Sciences (CCBS) owns for neuroimaging and brain intervention research. Then the team was given a short presentation about the specification and capacity of the Super Intelligent Computing Center (SICC). Subsequently, the research team of State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City (SKL-IOTSC) presented their current projects that related to smart tourism such as the smart transportation system and spatio-temporal social media data mining and analytics. The two research teams discussed about data acquisition and privacy issue in detail and proposed potential collaborations in the future.
