UM researchers and students visited the Monetary Authority of Macao
Recently, the Economic Society of the Student Union of the University of Macau visited the Monetary Authority of Macao (AMCM). Led by three UM professors and APAEM researchers, Prof. Fung Kwan, Prof. Yubo Tao, and Prof. Sili Zhou, and adjunct lecturer of Economics of UM, Dr. Vincent Tse, 27 students from the Department of Economics and the Department of Financial and Business Economics of UM visited the Monetary Authority of Macao.
The representative of the Monetary Authority of Macao gave a lecture to the UM researchers and students. The lecture was divided into two parts. The first part is about the introduction of the Monetary Authority of Macao and the overview of Macau’s financial industry. The second part is about the modern finance, such as the bond market, green finance, wealth management, and finance lease.
The students benefited a lot from the visit. Not only did they have an in-depth understanding of the development of Macau’s financial system, but they were also inspired for their future career direction.
