APAEM PhD student representative guided a campus tour for delegation from Zhejiang University
A delegation from Zhejiang University (ZJU), led by Zifa Zhang, Party Secretary and Associate Dean of ZJU’s School of Economics, recently visited “UM-ZJU Joint Research Center for Financial Innovation” at Asia-Pacific Academy of Economics and Management (APAEM), University of Macau (UM). The purpose of this visit is to promote academic exchange and cooperation between the two institutes, and to strengthen collaboration within the fields of teaching, research and talent cultivation. ZJU representatives learned about UM’s history and development during a campus tour guided by an APAEM PhD student representative, then followed by a joint meeting.
In the meeting, Prof. Jerome Yen, Team Leader of Financial Innovation team, introduced the attributes and development of financial innovation and technology industry in the Great Bay Area. Ms. Sharon Lei, functional head of Graduate School, shared about mechanisms of cooperation between Universities in Macao and the Mainland. Representatives from both parties discussed on opportunities to promoting academic exchanges between UM and ZJU, and strengthening scientific research cooperation.
