Last Friday, PhD students and Research Assistants of APAEM participated the Inaugural Frontiers in Hospitality and Tourism Annual Research Symposium alongside Prof. Rob Law, Deputy director of APAEM. The symposium was co-hosted by the University of Macau (UM), Fudan University, Nankai University, and Sun Yat-sen University, attracting many industry practitioners, and faculties and students from different universities.

In the symposium, our Research Assistant, Ms. Katsy Lin, presented her research project “Reimaging Tourism with Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs): A Golden Ticket to the Web3 Wonderland” that she co-authored with Prof. Rob Law. Their research is to explore the role of NFTs in the blockchain-empowered tourism and hospitality landscape and to reveal the current NFT development and applications in the field.
