Dr. Fai Chan

On April 27, the online seminar “APAEM Seminar Series: Challenges and Opportunities of Global Distribution System (GDS) during and after the Pandemic” was successfully held via zoom. Invited by Prof. Rob Law, Dr. Fai Chan gave an excellent online lecture on the challenges and opportunities of GDS during and after the pandemic. This seminar attracted many faculty members, postdoctoral fellows, master and doctoral students of various universities.
Dr. Fai Chan’s sharing consists of two parts. In the first part, Dr. Fai Chan introduced the operation of GDS as well as its role as a critical intermediator and aggregator of various travel products. In the second part, Dr. Chan explained the potential challenges and opportunities of GDS during and after the pandemic. In addition, Dr. Fai Chan further analyzed the significant contribution that GDS has made to the travel distribution chain.
At the end of Dr. Chan’s sharing, he made a summary of the lecture. In the Q&A session, Dr. Chan exchanged views with participants on impactful research topics in the GDS area. At the end of the seminar, Prof. Rob Law expressed his gratitude to Dr. Chan for his sharing and looked forward to further in-depth academic exchanges and collaboration with Dr. Chan.
