Prof. Rob Law, Deputy Director of APAEM of the University of Macau (UM), was invited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic & Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) to serve as a panel chair of the Learning Programme Re-accreditation (Re-LPA). The panel held its opening meeting of Re-LPA on March 19, 2024, and subsequently conducted the site visits to the accredited institute and programmes from March 20 to 22. Panel members engaged in enthusiastic discussions regarding the strengths and areas for improvement in course operations.

The HKCAAVQ uses the Four-Stage Quality Assurance Process to accredit operators and their learning programmes under the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (QF). Learning Programme Re-accreditation (Re-LPA) is the re-accreditation of programmes before the expiry date of their learning programme accreditation validity period to determine whether their planning and management, syllabuses, delivery arrangements and assessment methods, are able to achieve their claimed objectives and deliver their intended learning outcomes. Prof. Law’s role as the panel chair of the Re-LPA was instrumental in the evaluation process.
