On 20 June, led by Prof. Larry Qiu, the Head of the Department of Economics of Lingnan University, a representative team of the Department of Economics of Lingnan University visited APAEM. APAEM’s Asian Economics team led by Prof. Angus Chu welcomed the representative team. Moreover, the two institutes discussed the potential academic collaborations under the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance for Economics.
In the meeting, Prof. Qiu first gave an introduction of the Department of Economics of Lingnan University to APAEM’s Asian Economics team. Following that, Prof. Angus Chu shared the current research studies conducted by the APAEM researchers. Participants exchanged ideas for potential academic collaborations under the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance for Economics. Lastly, the visit ended with a UM campus tour guided by two Research Assistants of APAEM.
The representative team thanked APAEM for its hospitality and members of the two institutes felt excited about their future collaborations.
